Nestled into the bank at Eyam Farm, part of Brantwood Specialist School is home to a faded hobbit house, with nature taking over and finding home. Despite its looks, this enchanting abode, reminiscent of the Shire in J.R.R. Tolkien’s beloved works, holds the promise of a magical revival.
With plans to restore the hobbit house to its former glory, the vision is to create a serene reading space that inspires creativity and ignites the imagination, a cosy nook filled with blankets and shelves of books. Outside, we’d like to create winding paths and terraced wildflower beds, with small wooden chairs around a fire pit for reading when it is warm and dry.
