At this time of year our Admissions teams across the country are poised to support families and their young people appropriate school or college provision for next academic year. Its annual review season which means Local Authorities, parents, and carers are working together to ensure the young person’s EHCP truly reflects their additional needs.
At Freeman College (Sheffield) we understand this process can feel daunting for families when faced with navigating the SEND process, meeting phased transfer deadlines, while juggling increasingly busy households, which is why we are hosting evening drop-in sessions for in-person support and advice along the way. For many, securing a suitable post-16 placement will be their final placement in preparation for adulthood which is why it is vital to understand what options are available in your area, and what the college itself has to offer. Freeman College also has placements available throughout the year (for an in-year start) so If your young person is struggling in their current provision, our team are on hand to listen.
