SEN Information Report
Ruskin Mill Trust will soon break ground on the building of a new lower garden school at Sunfield. This is a significant event in the timeline of the school, celebrating its journey to date, and its future within Ruskin Mill Trust, for the benefit of our pupils.
Sunfield School is registered for children and young people between the ages of 6 and 19 years. The new lower school provision will cater for the younger students between the ages of 6 and 14 years. The design has been carried out by Ruskin Mill Trust architects and will comprise a timber eco modular structure with timber cladding and green roofs. The existing landscape will provide an orchard and herb garden to form part of the pupil’s therapeutic education. Its orientation is south and faces out across the new proposed farm and out into the community of Clent and beyond.
“One of our challenges is how we always maintain connections for our children and young people outwards into the community beyond our beautiful location here,”
Tara Gratton, Director of Schools, Ruskin Mill Trust

The new lower school, Sunfield Garden School, will be built on our existing 58 acre site in the beautiful Clent Hills in the West Midlands.
