Berni said, “It was wonderful to have Henry as a colleague in the ORFC session called: Opportunities for Neurodiversity in Agroecology. He showed so clearly that he was able to research his own progress and contribute to a wider relationship of research-informed practice and the student experience of biodynamic ecology and PSTE.”
Congratulations, Henry, on inspiring others with your impactful speech.
Ruskin Mill College student Henry, along with staff, Jasmine, a Horticulture Tutor, and Berni Courts, a Ruskin Mill Trust PSTE Advisor & Senior Researcher, attended Oxford Real Farming Conference (ORFC), chaired by Jamie Fielden of Jamie’s Farm, with co-panelists Rachael Philips of the Apricot Centre and Dr Matt Williams of Jubilee Farm.
Henry delivered a wonderful talk at ORFC, sharing with an audience of 100 how encountering biodynamic ecology at Ruskin Mill, particularly through picking balotti beans during his horticulture session, changed his perspective. He explained that working on the land and engaging in craft have been central to his personal transformation, fostering growth and new skills.
