Residential Provision

The uniqueness of the Trust's curriculum does not end with the timetable. Residential students live with individuals or families in the local community rather than on the college site. Our provision is registered and externally quality assured and offers the consistency, warmth and positive role modelling that young adults need to develop their living skills and full potential. In their final year students can progress to training flat placements, where they have the opportunity to take greater responsibility for themselves.
We offer:

Living in houses in small groups in the local area with family carers.

Opportunities to develop and improve living skills and independence.

Appropriate levels of residential support to meet students needs.

Help to plan leisure time and access the community.

Healthy and organic food.

A range of different households to meet students' growing independence.

Engagement in the college's cultural programmes.

Residential provision available 36 to 52 weeks a year.
Students learn to:

Travel independently to get around by themselves.

Manage their money.

Make arrangements to meet friends.

Look after their clothes and belongings.

Plan and cook healthy meals.

Shop and budget.

Make healthy choices.

Keep the house clean and tidy.

Socialise and arrange leisure time.

Develop personal relationships.

Live with others with respect.
